Health and safety of our guests and staff is our number one priority. H.O. is moving forward with plans to open the season Memorial Day Weekend.
We will be flexible and able to revise plans if necessary.
We will follow all CDC and governmental requirements. If you (the guest) are sick or showing signs of COVID-19 sickness please stay home and get healthy. Same thing for our staff. The buses and shuttle vehicles will run at a lower capacity to allow space between groups. If anyone is worried about the bus ride up we can make arrangements for you to drive yourself up and get the boat at the put in area please call or put it in the comments section when you make your reservations.
Masks are recommended for shuttle rides and in the store. Online waivers are on webpage. Busses will be cleaned between trips, life jackets and boats will also be cleaned between trips. You will have the option of purchasing a new lifejacket at wholesale cost. Public areas and bathhouse will be cleaned regularly. Only guests of the Hiwassee outfitters are allowed in bath house, The number of people will be limited in store and bath house. Also, social distancing will be encouraged.

ABOUT OUR RIVER
The Hiwassee River is 5.5 miles of Class I and II whitewater with one low level class III rapid at the end of your trip: “Devil’s Shoals.” It will take roughly two and a half to three hours to complete. Hiwassee Outfitters offers self-guided river trips, so you can go at your own pace! Hiwassee Outfitters has the largest fleet on the river.
